Gender Bibliography

The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) Subregional Headquarters for the Caribbean is pleased to present its online version of the Women in Development Bibliography.

The bibliography includes both Caribbean and non-Caribbean references from serial publications, monographs and less widely distributed documents such as technical reports and conference papers, which strengthen research and analytical capacity.

The bibliography lists documents on the following issues and subjects of relevance to women and development: agriculture; development planning; the economy; education and training; the environment; gender theory; the girl child; human rights; health; institutional mechanisms for the advancement of women; the media; poverty; power and decision making; technology; and violence against women. Brief summaries of the content of most documents are included, while the documents published by the ECLAC Sub-regional Headquarters are available in full-text and may be downloaded free of charge.
